One of the places in Cebu province that I can boast of is LAPU-LAPU CITY - my beloved hometown...
Lapu-lapu city...which is also known as MACTAN ISLAND,was the first highly-urbanized city in the province of Cebu.It is also surrounded by many beautiful islands like: Olanggo Island,Cabul-an Island and Nalusuan Island.
Olanggo Island is famous by its tourist destination - the "BIRD SANCTUARY".

| BIRD SANCTUARY Olango Island, situated off Mactan Island in Cebu, is one of the seven best-known flyways in migrating birds. The sanctuary is a good spot for picnics as the wind is breezy and cool. Apart from it, Olango Island is also a favorite diving spot of experienced divers because of the colorful coral formations and dense fish population. Mactan Shrine is one of the tourist destination here in lapu-lapu where the BATTLE OF MACTAN was held where in Ferdinand Magellan was lost against Lapu-lapu.
